More than 7,600 practicing clinician authors and editors synthesise the literature into topic reviews carrying explicit graded recommendations, across roughly 13,000 topics and 8,000 drug entries. If your question is "what does the evidence say and how confident should I be," it is very good at that, and Pogosh does not attempt to replace it.

So the difference is not reach. It is what arrives. UpToDate Connect returns links and citations into topic reviews — excellent material, written for a clinician to read, from which the clinician then derives the orders. Pogosh returns the orders themselves: named labs with LOINC codes, imaging with RadLex codes, the specialty to involve and how urgently, and the findings that should escalate care — as data a chart can act on without a human translating prose into an order set. The translation step is the difference.

No, and it is not designed to. UpToDate is an evidence library of expert-authored topic reviews; Pogosh CDS is an API that returns coded orders for a specific patient. They answer different questions, and many practices will reasonably use both — UpToDate when you want to read, Pogosh when you want the workup in the chart.
