Implementation notes

Coefficients from the guideline's Table A; verified against its worked example (age 55, TC 213, HDL 50, SBP 120 untreated, non-smoker, no diabetes: 2.1% white women, 3.0% African American women, 5.3% white men, 6.1% African American men). For white men the exact sum is 60.6995 → 5.38%; the guideline prints the sum as 60.69 → 5.3%. The 2023 AHA PREVENT equations are built as prevent_cvd (batch 10); The 2026 ACC/AHA dyslipidemia guideline (PMID 41824552) replaces the 2018 cholesterol guideline; its abstract states the replacement, and the use of PREVENT for risk estimation is reported by papers describing it. PCE is kept available for comparison and for documentation that still cites it.
